Proverbs 17:6, "Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers."

We must always remember where we came from. We did not get here by our selves, but it is through our fathers and mothers that we have been given the opportunity to experience life. It is through the geriatrics ministry that we are able to extend our heartfelt love and appreciation back into the lives of fathers and mothers. They raised us and should be remembered by us. Our heavenly Father God is honored when we show genuine care for those who have trodden the path of life before us because we too must enter into the days of gray hair and will desire for someone to remember us as well.

Ephesians 6:2-3, "Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise) that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth."
